Drivers between the ages of 21 and 69 who have a received a renew-by-mail application are eligible to renew their license from home. The notice is sent 60 days before the driver’s license expires. It is mailed to the address printed on the driver’s current license. This service is only offered for those who do not need to change any of the information on file.

What do I need to bring?
- Proof of Idaho residency – a utility bill, bank statement or official document displaying your home address.
- Proof of age and identity – Idaho license, out-of-state license or a state-certified birth certificate along with one photo from a military ID, passport or yearbook
- Foreign nationals need to bring a passport, I94/Visa, Green Card, Employment Authorization Card, Citizen/ National Certificates.
- Method of payment – cash, personal check, Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express.
