Details:

Members of the Ada Metro Narcotics Unit and the Nampa Narcotics Unit have arrested three Boise residents for trafficking methamphetamine.

Based on information gathered during the last three months, detectives obtained a search warrant for two Boise homes. At about 7:05pm Monday evening, detectives served the first warrant at a home in the 1800 block of Broxon Street. 27-year-old Hector Mendoza was at the home and was taken into custody. A female adult, a teenager and a child were inside at the time.

The second warrant was issued for a home in the 3700 block of Crescent Rim. Just before serving the warrant, detectives saw a male later identified as Damian Lopez, 19, of Boise, drive away from the residence. Deputies stopped Lopez on Camrose Lane and took him into custody. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).

Detectives then searched the home on Crescent Rim. Heidi Lucille Barker, 49, of Boise, was inside the home and was taken into custody. She was booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Two of Barker’s grandchildren, a one-year-old and 3-year-old, were in her care at the time of her arrest. They were placed into the protective custody of Idaho Health and Welfare.

Detectives recovered just over three ounces of methamphetamine and 19 grams of cocaine during the searches. The methamphetamine has a street value of about $4500. The cocaine has a street value of about $1,000. Investigators also seized $1,000 in cash.

Mendoza, Barker and Lopez are expected to be arraigned on the charges this afternoon in district court.
