Sheriff Raney and a number of deputies attended National Night Out events in Ada County. This was the 25th year for the event meant to promote crime prevention by encouraging people to get to know their neighbors and members of their local law enforcement agencies. Eight Ada County neighborhoods organized get-togethers that included barbecues, bouncy houses, face painting and door prizes. McGruff the Crime Dog cruised around to several of the events to entertain and educated children. Members of the SWAT Team also made appearances and offered exciting demonstrations for the groups.
