Details:
Kuna Police have arrested two men for stealing a donation jar from a sandwich shop Monday night. Deputies were called to the business on Wythe Creek Court at 9:15pm. Employees told investigators a man had come into the business to fill out an application and eat a sandwich. The man left the store and returned a few minutes later. This time, the man grabbed a charity donation jar off the counter and ran.
The two employees chased the man and watched him get into a car that drove away. Those employees provided deputies with a clear description of the suspect as well as a license plate number that helped track the vehicle.
At about 1:20am, a Kuna Police officer spotted the car near Avalon and Orchard. The passenger in the vehicle matched the description of the burglary suspect. During the traffic stop, deputies determined the driver had been drinking alcohol and had a suspended or revoked license. They also found evidence of methamphetamines in the car. Seth A. Montgomery, 18, of Garden City, was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of burglary (felony); possession of a controlled substance (felony); illegal purchase, consumption or possession of alcohol (misdemeanor) and driving on a suspended or revoked license (misdemeanor).
