Information Release
Just after 8:20pm on Friday, members of the Ada Metro Narcotics Unit and Ada Metro SWAT Team served a warrant at a home in the 5000 block of Dakota Street in Boise. Inside, deputies found four adults and three children. They also found evidence of a meth lab.
Ronald D. Rea, 52, of Boise, was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and felony injury to a child. Katrina A. Elser, 24, of Boise, was booked into the jail for manufacturing a controlled substance.
The two other adults in the home, Anthony C. Coiner and Mary Dixon, were questioned by detectives and issued citations for frequenting a place of drug use.
The three children inside the home, boys ages 11-13, were placed into protective custody by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
The Ada Metro Narcotics Unit was assisted by Idaho State Police and Boise Fire Hazardous Materials Unit in processing the methamphetamine lab. Ada County Paramedics were also on scene. It took officers several hours to process the evidence and decontaminate the home.
This is an ongoing investigation. Other suspects have been identified. Additional arrests and further charges are pending.
