Ada County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a report of vandalism near Kuna Mora Road. The damage was reported December 6 at a construction site on Kuna Mora at Blacks Creek Road. A pump truck kept at the site was damaged. Its windows and lights were smashed, and all four tires were flattened. The vehicle was also shot several times with a 22-caliber rifle. Other vandalism on-site included damage to a power meter, sprinkler valves and other equipment. Total damage is estimated to be more than $10,000.
Another report of vandalism and theft came November 25 from a construction site at a rest area on I-84 at milepost 62. The owners reported someone stole a flatbed trailer and Bobcat excavator from the site.
