The Ada County Jail's Intake/Booking Area is where all arrested people are processed. Our mission is to use the highest professional standards while maintaining the respect and dignity of those arrested.
When individuals are arrested they are brought to our jail and turned over to our booking deputies. During the intake process, arrestees are asked a series of questions by a screening questioner.
They are then booked in, fingerprinted, and photographed. Once that is completed, they are allowed to use the phone to contact bondsmen, family members, and friends. All inmates are allotted two hours in which they may attempt to secure a bond and be released from custody, provided the charge is bondable.
If they cannot bond out, inmates are transferred to the Housing Section.
