Sergeant Ken Ramage

Sergeant Ramage has been working with the Ada County Sheriff's Office since 1994. He began by serving a Jail Deputy and later as a Patrol Deputy. He has worked patrol in the contract cities of Kuna and Star. Since being assigned to the new Star contract in 2003, Sergeant Ramage has formed a close bond and community partnership with many of the citizens he serves. He was the first ACSO deputy assigned to Star and continues today as the liaison between the ACSO and the Star City Council.

In 2003, Star began contracting for law enforcement services with the Ada County Sheriff's Office. There are four sheriff's deputies assigned solely to patrolling and protecting Star. This means the deputies are familiar with the community's issues and citizens. These Star officers can call on fellow deputies from the Sheriff's Office for help when needed. The partnership between Star and the Ada County Sheriff's Office means Star has access to all of the county's law enforcement resources without the administrative costs of running an independent police department.
